New Hampton | Ravenshead, Newstead Abbey, Nottinghamshire
Status: Planning Approved / Under Construction
Location: Ravenshead, Newstead Abbey, Nottinghamshire
Project Scope: Replace existing bungalow with a modern new home designed with a nod to New England / Hampton homes architecture.
Brightman Clarke Architects were appointed to design a large replacement dwelling at Ravenshead, near Newstead Abbey, Nottinghamshire.
Project Overview
This significant new North Nottinghamshire home is being built to replace a tired old bungalow.
The site is on the edge of Greenbelt land, in the lovely village of Ravenshead, near Newstead Abbey, Nottinghamshire. The site is a private location screened by mature hedgerows and trees on three sides.
Our client was keen for the design to take its inspiration from the grand houses of New England in the "Hampton" style of design.
The home's first feature you notice is its elegant brick and rendered facade, which utilises an intriguing blend of bricks. The rear of the house features a single-storey canopy wrapping around the dwelling to offer shading and outdoor entertaining spaces.
We believe this is an excellent example of a new family home focused on a contemporary lifestyle yet blended with a slightly more traditional theme of architecture. When complete in 2023 it will create an uplifting and vibrant addition to the village of Ravenshead.
