00005 / Meet the team

Over the last few months, here on this blog, we have introduced Christopher and Jonathan, then the studio, and now we would like to introduce the rest of the Brightman Clarke Team. 

After a quick jotting up, it looks like we have over 100 years of experience, between us; we think that should be pretty reassuring to our clients, particularly when you consider we are a purposefully small practice of just seven.

We recently converted the back office into an impromptu photography studio and took the photos ourselves - we thought this would be a little less intimidating than being photographed by a stranger. As it turned out, we still felt self-conscious, but it wasn't too bad. But none of us really relished being in front of the lens. We are all much happier designing, sketching and modelling buildings.

Our professional experience aside, what else can we tell you? Well, we are quite an outdoorsy and sporty office, with several of us regularly going into the Peak District to run, cycle, climb and walk. But we like our films and box-setts too. Arts and culture also feature in our pastimes - hardly surprising as every one of us have studied art or design to different degrees. 

The office is split over football (as I'm sure is the case all over the UK). We have everything from faithful grass route supporters to premiership super-fans, whilst others are just left bemused. But don't worry, we are united with a love of travel, good food, cafe culture, cakes and baking, and of course, family and friends.
