Brightman Clarke Architects Wins Best Renovation Award for The Works!
We are thrilled to announce that The Works, one of our standout projects, has been awarded the Best Renovation Award at the prestigious Homebuilding & Renovating Awards 2024, in partnership with The Times and The Sunday Times.
This incredible achievement reflects our dedication to creating innovative and carefully considered designs that transform homes into something truly extraordinary.
About The Works
The project is located in South Yorkshire; the Works completely transforms a neglected property into a contemporary forever home. Collaborating closely with our clients, we delivered a modern and homely design, using rugged, raw materials such as polished concrete flooring to create a unique aesthetic.
The project included:
A total home refurbishment.
A remodelling of the interior.
An impressive two-storey side extension.
The design reimagines an existing 1980s extension with an industrial twist, incorporating tumbled and reclaimed brickwork alongside bold black timber cladding. These striking contemporary materials contrast beautifully with the traditional stonework and terracotta pan tiles of the surrounding conservation area, creating a home with a clear and cohesive palette of textures and tones.
